Victoria flew out to Singapore and ferried from there to Bintan Island for the ultimate experience organised through Club Med. It was her first Club Med experience and put simply – she is hooked!
Jayes Travel Specialist, Victoria Buckley, is always up for exploring a new destination or going on adventure (as are all of us at Jayes Travel). Having recently travelled to America, she tried something a little bit different in November that she simply had to share with you!

“You can do as much or as little as you like! The food is amazing, and you’ll constantly be surrounded by it – you won’t ever go hungry or thirsty,” Victoria said.
All staff are known as GO’s (gentle organisers) and Victoria said they were so nice and friendly; “they remember your name, even after meeting only once, and greet you whenever they see you!”
Another aspect Victoria liked about this trip was the wristband you receive upon arrival. It has a little chip on the band which acts as your key to get into your rooms. “It’s so convenient and is a great alternative to a room key, which we always lose…let’s be honest,” Victoria laughed. This wristband also acts as currency throughout your trip for anyone who wants to buy extras, such as spa treatments or souvenirs from the boutique.
There are plenty of activities included, and Victoria tried her hand at a range of them. She did water aerobics, archery, aerial yoga, the trapeze and tie-dying. “There’s such a range of activities, I’m sure everyone can find something they enjoy doing,” Victoria said.
But it’s not just outdoorsy types that will love this type of travel. “There is also inclusive entertainment each night and they really get you involved!” Victoria said.
For those days you need to relax and take a break from your jam-packed itinerary, there’s the beautiful beaches and pools of Bintan Island. “I also relaxed the hell out of my trip. For the days I knew I’d be busy with night-time entertainment, I just spent the day by the pool, read my book, and swam in the beautiful beach water,” Victoria recounted.
